I am a PhD student in linguistics interested in computational perspectives on morphosyntax, semantics, and language universals. I use restrictive grammar formalisms (mildly context-sensitive syntax, [sub]regular morphology and phonology) and data from less studied languages (Coptic, Nahuatl, Tocharian) to investigate language variation and its limits. Recurring themes of my research include verbal inflection, direct compositionality with update semantics, and skeptical approaches to the word. I recently presented a paper at DIGS XIII. I am receiving funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. |
