Special session:
Linguistics at the interfaces
The design of the grammar is standardly assumed to be complex, involving components such as phonetics, phonology, syntax, and semantics. The initial view that components of the grammar are autonomous has proven to be overly strong, and more and more cases of interfaces among components have been documented. This in turn opens questions about the extent and nature of such interfaces: is there a line between interacting components and components without borders? We invite abstracts that explore empirical as well as theoretical aspects of the interfaces among two or more components of the grammar, and formal tools that capture such interfaces.
