By airplane

The Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport (ITH) is located about 10 minutes from campus and the downtown area. Route 31 of the Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit (TCAT) runs between Cornell and Ithaca Airport. Taxi and van services are also available.

Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) in Syracuse, NY, is another option. It is approximately 90 minutes from Ithaca. Taxi and van services to and from Syracuse are available. 

If you plan to arrive from New York City, the estimated driving time is 5 hours. Shortline Bus and Cornell Campus to Campus also provide daily service between New York City and Ithaca.

By bus/train

The nearest train stop is Syracuse, NY, located approximately 90 minutes from Ithaca. In addition to bus service from Syracuse to Ithaca, shuttle service is also available to and from the Syracuse Amtrak Station. For more information on the connections, please visit Cornell's website.

The Ithaca bus terminal is located in downtown Ithaca. The following bus lines provide services to Ithaca:

·         New York Trailways

By car

The directions below are provided by the Information and Referral Center. When you arrive in Ithaca, there will be signs directing you to Cornell campus.

·         From Points North -- Including Syracuse and Watertown

·         From Points East -- Including Albany and Boston

·         From Points South -- Including New York City

·         From Points South -- Including New Jersey

·         From Points Southwest -- Including Ohio and Elmira

·         From Points West -- Including Toronto, Buffalo, and Rochester

Note that metered lots are generally free to the public on weekends.

NOTE: Some of the hotels do offer shuttle service to Cornell, so check with your hotel for those arrangements; there is also a local bus service as well as taxis that can assist you in getting from your hotel to the campus conference location.
